To Our Valued Customers
I got a call today that I wasn't prepared for. The butcher shop in Ladoga that has processed every animal we've raised for Defiance Beef has closed. I've been farming this land for my entire life and running Defiance Beef because I believe in doing this the right way. That means being honest with you now, even when the news is hard: we don't have a processor, and without one we can't ship beef. I've made calls. Every inspected facility in Indiana is booked a year or more out. We're not done, but I won't take your money for something I can't deliver, and I won't pretend everything is fine when it isn't. All orders are paused. All subscriptions are paused. If you've paid for something you haven't received, I will make it right personally. If you want to stay informed as we work through this, stay subscribed to our email list. That's where any updates will come first. This farm has been here since 1944. It'll still be here.— Jake Smoker Defiance Beef · Wanatah, Indiana
